Cowboys: Embarrassment is an Understatement
Can anyone think of a more shameful loss in Cowboys’ history?
Philadelphia defense scored twice, as the Eagles annihilated the Dallas Cowboys, 44-6, locking up a spot for the playoffs.
Cowboys, a preseason Super Bowl favorite, lost three of its final four games.
Many people will be calling for Wade to get fired this off-season. Is it too early to call for Bill Cowher? But let’s remember who signed Pacman Jones and Roy Williams.
NY Times is selling its stake of Boston Red Sox
The New York Times is looking for a buyer for its stake in the holding company of the Boston Red Sox. The NY Times, recently mortgaged its headquarters to stay afloat through this tough financial crisis. They have 17.5% ownership in New England Sports Ventures LLC (NESV), which owns the storied Red Sox, Fenway Park and the local sports cable network.
They are the second-largest shareholder behind John Henry, the majority owner of the Red Sox. WSJ is reporting that
Times Co. is said to be seeking $300 million for the NESV stake, or four times its original $75 million investment, according to that person.
Although most financial gurus think that is more likely worth around $200 million.
My question is what is a newspaper doing buying stake in a baseball team? Also, a competing sports team! The Chicago Cubs are also owned by Chicago Tribune.

Johnson showed up at a Best Buy at 5:25 AM in Florence, Ky., about 15 mins from Paul Brown Stadium.

So he can show up at Best Buy at 5:25 AM but is sleep at team meetings?
Is it me or does he looks a lot like Steve Urkel.

Lion fans are already getting creative…

Lebron and Microsoft Part Ways

Microsoft decided not to renew their contract with King James. It leaves James without a website, as LebronJames.com was taken down.
With the economy going down, I know I have great relationships with the partners that I have, said Lebron.
He certainly has lucrative deals with Nike and Coke to fall back on. The advertising market in sports is tightening up, just last week GM’s Buick decided not to renew Tiger Woods.
